Ginger

Ginger

Zingiber officinale

It takes about 10 months to remain in the field and start showing withering signs from the 8th month which indicates that the crop is ready for digging. Small holder Farmers use hand hoe to harvest mature ginger.

We transport the ginger to our central processing facility to undergo processing steps. The steps for ginger include washing with clean water, sorting good clean ginger before cutting, cutting ginger into chips by using knives, drying on concrete floors and tarpaulins until to a maximum of 12% moisture content. Final cleaning using winnower made from plant material.

We monitor each processing step for each lot to ensure it meets set quality operating standards.
